PDS 2nd Year Pain Fellow

The pain fellow is expected to have completed the Better Pain Management modules and Year 1 Core Training of the Faculty Pain Medicine ANZCA curriculum. The Pain Fellow will provide compassionate evidence-based care of patients referred to FPMx, while using and learning the principles and practice of acute, chronic and cancer pain management. The pain fellow is expected to participate in patient care, educational, clinical research and quality assurance activities of FPMx.
The trainee is expected to develop advanced skills to manage a wide variety of acute medical and surgical pain, persistent (chronic) pain, cancer related pain and pain with comorbid mental health, substance use and psychosocial problems. They will learn about the timing, indications, preparations, complications and technical skills (if desired) for pain related interventions. Plus learn basic research skills and quality management in healthcare.

Clinical Unit Head - Anaesthetics

Seeking an experienced Clinical Unit Head of Anaesthetists to lead our enthusiastic team of medical professionals at Bendigo Hospital. The Anaesthesia and Pain Service are seeking to appoint suitably experienced Consultant Anaesthetist who will enjoy a rewarding career through their contribution to a large regional tertiary referral hospital and operations of Bendigo Health’s eleven (11) operating theatres catering for all major types of adult and paediatric surgery within the Loddon Mallee region.
Candidates must have extensive knowledge and demonstrated clinical ability and leadership commensurate with that expected of a specialist anaesthetist and a proven ability to develop and maintain effective service interactions required in the operation of a busy anaesthetic service.
In this role, you will provide leadership as Head of Department along with clinical specialist anaesthetic services (hours may be negotiated) including appropriate pre and post-operative care, within credentialed privileges to patients of Bendigo Health. As a Consultant Anaesthetist you be required to provide professional leadership, training and supervision to doctors in training, other clinical staff and medical students.
